In an effort to enhance airport experience, Visa Inc. V has launched a new service named “Visa airport companion” along with DragonPass.

This service, which can be availed of through a mobile phone, is the first of its kind in the Asia Pacific and will provide Visa cardholders a complete airport experience. Earlier, travelers used services via different platforms such as physical cards, telephones and online booking. Now, all these offerings are available on a single digital platform, making the experience easy and hassle free.

Users of this service will have access to exclusive privileges and discounts to amenities and services provided at the airport such as lounges, restaurants, spas, retail, limousines and meet & greet services. All these will be available simply at the touch of the button.

The platform includes in-app payment, which mean that purchases will be made possible within the mobile application. It will also include card verification to control fraud losses, smart recommendations and push notifications to  notify users of new messages or events even when a user is not actively using the application.

Visa has developed this service keeping in mind the huge growth in travel by air and growth in commercial stores, lounges and food and beverage establishments at the airports.

This service reflects the company’s consistent efforts to stay ahead of other players in the industry through enhanced services and value to its cardholders.

Since the card payments industry is highly competitive, Visa constantly strives to roll out new services and facilities to retain its current cardholders and attract new ones.
Visa carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some better-ranked players are Credit Acceptance Corp. CACC, Regional Management Corp. RM and SLM Corporation SLM. While Credit Acceptance and Regional Management carry a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), SLM Corporation carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
